Bruno Mars has topped the UK singles chart with his new hit Grenade.
The song - which is taken from the songwriter's debut album Doo-Wops & Hooligans - sold 149,834 copies in its first week, which is three times the amount the number 2 single sold (Do It Like A Dude by Jessie J).
That’s the biggest first week sales for a single released in January since Babylon Zoo’s Spaceman in 1996.
An ecstatic Bruno also praised his UK fans, saying: "I would love to thank all the UK fans, thank you guys so much for supporting my career and everything that I’m doing.
"[It's] such a special place for me, I just love it out here. I think the people are great. It’s just this is where it’s at for me. I’m getting a house over here; I know it. That’s the next investment."
Don't forget Bruno Mars Tickets are on sale now for his UK tour this March.
