The R&B breakout star's arraignment date has been set for 8 a.m. on November 18, the same date that he was assigned on his release from custody.
According to authorities, Mars, whose legal name is Peter Hernandez, faces a penalty of a minimum term of not less than one year and a maximum term of not more than four years in the Nevada Department of Corrections. He may also be fined up to$5,000. If he has no prior convictions, and he is convicted of the charge, he will face punishment as a Category E felony pursuant to NRS 453.336, and that means that probation is mandatory.
